Social News websites are very much in fashion nowadays, a social news website is a site where the community members rather than an editor take control of the content and ultimately decide whats hot or not. For bloggers in particular Social News websites can be a great source of traffic if your lucky enough to get an article published on their front page that is. With so many of these sites now available though you might not know about them all, we thought it would be nice to draw your attention to some of them that have become established over time.

First off this could have become a very, very long article if we had tried to list every available site so we have listed 45 of the ones we liked and know about. Secondly we didn’t list any brand new sites because most of these sites seem to last three to six months then appear as a parking page, hence more established sites have been listed. The sites are also listed in no particular order in case anyone was wondering.

Environmentally oriented search engine, forum and directory, with a shopping service that donates portion of sales to environmental causes.
