Pligg Refute Claims Yet Do Exactly What The Article Revealed.

So yesterday an article on Pligg Problems that caused some controversy with pligg refuting it all as lies once again in their automatic defense mechanism, We noticed a pingback on our article from the pligg forums where a user kieths had posted a link to our article and asked YankiDank some questions. Guess what the post started well nearly managing to have a mature conversation, but as usual then it was deleted keeping in line with our article’s so called false accusations.

When we followed the pingback yesterday we took a snap of the thread which was deleted shortly afterwards, it’s worth noting the reason this thread was deleted is not shown in the image snap and was after YankiDank replied as he was then asked to explain a particular statement from the pligg blog below.

Quote YankiDank

I have also hired a third party expert to analyze and patch any security holes that might still exist in Pligg. I have also hired a part time coder to assist in developing Pligg over the next month as we approach 1.0. Any updates that I receive from either of these people will be added to the SVN and shortly after that the next Pligg version.

This blog post above from pligg contains a paragraph stating that pligg had hired a 3rd party coder to fix all the security patches in pligg which far from the truth. And asking this question and quoting the same text as above is what eventually got kieths thread deleted at pligg.

But who was the first mystery expert pligg hired to patch the holes before this release? nobody is the answer because the lifted the code from a competing systems SVN as we revealed that had been patched and released by AshDigg a full 24hrs previous to pligg.

Good job pligg keep it up and your not acting like our article suggested in any way.

  1. Hi,

I started that thread at Pligg after reading your article. I just started with the Pligg CMS and this blog has raised my eyebrows.

I have a screenshot of the full thread shown above on my PC at home, I will send it to you tonight if you want it.

  2. Hi keiths,

It’s great you have a full screenshot of the thread as our images is only from when it first began, we would be delighted if you could send it to us thanks.

Unfortunately you are not the first pligg member to have encountered this behavior from the development team. In you thread i noticed that Yanki said he was and seemed happy to answer any of your questions, however when you asked a Yanki a question related to their phantom developer your thread suddenly got deleted.

Yanki has audacity to say we post nothing but lies to discredit their project and mention liableous in a lot of replies his regarding us, we don’t have to discredit their project as you can see they do a great job themselves and if we are liableous sue us then Eric? we are part of a registered limited company with financial and legal resources pligg could only dream of and we can, and would fight back and are tired of the old Liable, slanderous allegations.

Another Commons retort from plgg that you witnessed is that we are trying to lead the demise of pligg campaign to benefit ourselves or other projects, we have nothing to benefit from such a feeble crusade only the open source community benefits as a whole by knowing the truth about these charlatans.

  3. Well when Pligg tanks they can always get into politics. That’s the only area I can think of where antics like that will get you somewhere.

  4. This is so sad.
Posting photoshopped posts, and making fake comments about someones wife. You guys have hit a new low. I hope you are proud of yourselves.

  5. Well, I went to login to the Pligg forums tonight, and I have been banned, reason given: “Bitter CMS”, not sure what that means.

Here is the screenshot I promised:

    These guys are unbelievable.

  6. kieths

Thanks for posting the smallest possible photo ever. Thanks to using ColorZilla and zooming in on it 800% I can see why they banned you. You were told the rules, you failed to follow them. Over and Over. Do you think that makes you cool? You will fit in here just fine. I would have banned you also.

  7. The photo came out small, not sure why as I use my screen grabber quite a bit.

What rules did I break? Is asking questions a violation?

If those guys can’t handle critisism or members asking questions that they are entitle to answers to, then they are in the wrong line of work.

Every CMS takes criticism, if Wordpress or Drupal banned everyone who criticized them, they would have ,uch fewer members and a dying CMS like Pligg has.

Yankidank is a dumbass, no one wanted to buy your train wreck, you lose your only REAL developer Ashdigg, you start banning contributing members, you start selling piece of crap modules.

Good business plan, no wonder you are on your way out.

    Goodluck sh*theads.

  8. @nocys,

How many times do we need to tell you to shut the f*ck up. The only Pligg fan boy out defending the CMS that has no “real” developers, no common sense and apparently no business sense either.

How many people have they banned in the last year? 95% of them for stupid reasons, or no reason at all.

I have never seen a forum run in such a way, I hope they crash and burn and Yankidank, Chuckroast are exposed for the true fakes that they are.

  9. Pligg is most powerfull & easy toll to post news on sites.. i have 2 pligg websites those are help me to bring traffic to my site. just i say pligg ROCKS

  10. Im reading the image!
for anyone who wants to read it, save it and open it up with your image viewer and zoom it, it comes out a little blury but its still readable!!! any good image viewer will let you zoom in.

@nocys if you want to post somthing, please be constructive. why would you ban him, what do you think he did to deserve to be banned? i cant see anything wrong with what he has done.

@ArabEastern Pligg is a GREAT software! they just need a refresh on how to run a business properly.

  11. @ Christopher,

This isn’t the first post i have seen deleted at pligg and have experienced this myself for asking a question about the MYSQL and pligg_pageviews table size and overall load pligg places on the server, i got one reply, answered the reply and when i returned a few hours later the post was deleted for no reason that could be valid.

Very interesting indeed when you zoom in on the image as chris said no real reason for a ban apart from Pligg once again couldn’t seem to answer simple questions or most probably didn’t want too.

What is interesting though is in one reply to Keiths Yankidank admits to stealing or as he put it Borrowing? security patches from SWCMS, personally the reason behind this threads deletion is not because of what Keith’s asked but looks more to be Yankidank regretting what he posted and giving too much information that again seem no more than fabrication anyways.

I use, participate and contribute to many open source projects, happily though pligg isn’t one of them which i think was a wise choice. The impression i get of the current team at pligg is that they look like Blaggers, and Blaggers in business always fail as pligg are now doing.

Pligg is not a CMS system it’s a bug laden scam to try and generate revenue, pligg also seem to have way too many contradictions and inconsistencies in there replies to hold any credibility.
