Post Free Pligg Template Convergence v9.8.2
Here at Social CMS Buzz we decided to release a great new pligg template for free just in time for the new year 2008 :)

Convergence is a light grey, white and blue template with a 3 column layout, 3 column layout pligg templates have been pretty scarce in the pligg community until now that is :) Sidebars feature background colour on link hover which looks pretty nice we think.

The template has been tested on IE7, FF etc unfort we don't have IE6 to test so any errors please report them here ;)

Convergence Pligg Template is release under the Creative Commons 2.5 License.

Sidebars Fix: Upload the three files in the sidebar fix package to your pligg root directory, remeber to backup your original files first ;) The fix is needed as the three included .php files contain sidebar information including the expand image and sidebar title.

FeedBurner Configuration open convergence/sidebar_modules/sorts.tpl

FIND Line 18 = Upcoming RSS FEED
Code:
<li><a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/SocialCMSBuzz"><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~fc/SocialCMSBuzz?bg=27B7DF&amp;fg=FFFFFF&amp;anim=1" height="26" width="88" style="border:0" alt="" align="absmiddle"/></a></li>

FIND line 38 = Published RSS FEED
Code:
<li><a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/SocialCMSBuzz"><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~fc/SocialCMSBuzz?bg=27B7DF&amp;fg=FFFFFF&amp;anim=1" height="26" width="88" style="border:0" alt="" align="absmiddle"/></a></li>

Replace the instances of "SocialCMSBuzz" within the existing code with your own feedburner ID which can be created HERE. Create to feeds at feedburner one for Published News and one for Upcoming News.

Enjoy the template and feel free to comment.

First off thanks for the great looking template. One little bug is that in IE6 the column at the far right actually appears right in the center of the page. Thanks again for your great contributions!

Also, is there a way that you guys could release a Wordpress theme based with the Convergence Template? That would be pretty b.a. for purposes of website congruency and greatly appreciated! Thanks again.

Hey thanks for the bug fix! I found another annoying issue however, under admin , the content in the center overruns into the column on the right, this is particularly noticeable in the template editor and in the Story management so for example the discard button is unclickable. Thanks for the help so far!

To anybody who is having the same problem, a quick fix for the Story management section, is to limit the title lengths if they get too long , it expands the section outside of the central module. How long is too long? Hard to tell even though it says max 120 characters, for some stories if the title can fit in 3 lines of about 20-30 characters it sometimes splits it, some other times it will do a 50 character line and another smaller line, which causes it to overrun. Just play with it a bit. Gluck!
